Applications are invited on plain paper (along with attested copies of date of birth certificate, degrees, mark sheets, experience certificates and reprints of publications and a recent passport sized photograph) for the temporary post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the research project entitled, "Identification of target molecule on B cells which binds Infectious Bursal Disease (IBD) virus and its regulation for immunoprophylaxis of IBD in chickens" funded by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of S&T, Govt. of India (scheme sanctioned upto 27. 5. 2010).

Name of the post and emoluments: Junior Research Fellow (One)Rs. 9500 pm + 15% HRA (in 1st & 2nd year), and Rs. 10,000 pm + 15% HRA (in 3rd year)Essential qualifications and eligibility conditions:BVSc & AH degree or BSc degree in any branch of Life Sciences / Biological Sciences with at least second class.

MVSc degree in Virology / Immunology / Biotechnology / Veterinary Microbiology (with research specialization in Virology) or MSc (Biotechnology / Microbiology / Immunology / Cell Biology) with at least 65% marks or an OCPA of 6.50 out of 10 or equivalent.Matric level certificate in Punjabi language.(Note: 1. Candidate without the matric level certificate in Punjabi language will be considered if no suitable candidate with Punjabi qualification is available.). Experience in flow cytometry would be an asset.
The last date of receipt of complete applications is 8.10.2007. The eligible candidates should bring the original certificates and appear for an interview on 9th October, 2007 at 10.30 am in the office of the undersigned. No separate interview letter will be sent. No TA / DA will be paid for attending the interview.
