Prime ministers Scholarship Scheme For Wards Of Ex- Servicemen Widows

Kendriya Sainik Board Scholarship 2007

Prime ministers Scholarship Scheme For Wards Of Ex- Servicemen Widows

PRIME MINISTER’S MERIT SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME
Service conditions of Defence Personnel are extremely exacting, tough, rigorous and peculiar to the Services. To maintain a fit and youthful profile, defence personnel, particularly of the lower ranks, are retired at a young age with limited pension, saddled with pending domestic responsibilities. The Army’s engagement in counter-insurgency operations in J & K and the North East has also resulted in casualties every year, leaving behind widows and children in need of support. To encourage higher technical and professional education for the wards of widows and ex-servicemen of Armed Forces, it has been decided to introduce a new scholarship scheme known as the Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme from the Academic year 2006-07.

GiveIndia is a donation platform that allows you to support a cause of your choice from about 100 NGOs that have been scrutinised for transparency & credibility.
We do not raise funds for ourselves. We help you donate to these NGOs.
We tell you exactly where your money went and also give you proof of it through the feedback report. We ensure that at least 90% of your contribution reaches the organization you support (as against the average of 40% for the NGO sector).
What makes us different? We have reviewed over 1000 non-profit organizations from all over India to identify nearly 100 organizations that have met with the Credibility Alliance's norms. They work for causes ranging from child welfare and education to disability, poverty, and women's empowerment to name a few.

Conceived by Venkat Krishnan, an IIM-A graduate in December 1999, GiveIndia is managed by a team of professionals who have earlier worked with various corporates and now have dedicated their careers to making a difference. We got registered on April 28, 2000, as a non-profit under section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.Since inception, over 30,000 donors across the globe have been able to impact over a million lives by supporting 150 organizations through GiveIndia.
